Les associations Maison européenne de l’architecture – Rhin supérieur et La Chambre travaillent ensemble à la valorisation de la photographie d’architecture. À chaque nouvelle édition du festival « Les Journées de l’architecture », les deux associations s’associent pour proposer à leurs publics de découvrir l’architecture en images à travers des expositions originales présentant les œuvres de photographes internationaux.
En 2010, les deux associations décident d’élargir leurs champs de coopération en lançant Archifoto – international awards of architectural photography. Archifoto a pour ambition de devenir le prix de référence récompensant les photographes dont le regard aide à la compréhension de l’architecture, du paysage urbain, du monde…
Créative et documentaire, la sélection d’Archifoto deviendra à terme la base d’un corpus original sur la complexité et l’ampleur de l’architecture de notre temps, vue par ceux·celles qui l’habitent.

The associations European House of Architecture – Upper Rhine and La Chambre are working together to enhance architectural photography. For every new edition of their festival Les Journées de l’architecture (The Days of Architecture), both associations care to offer a discovery of architecture through original photos and exhibitions, introducing to their audiences the work of international photographers.
In 2010, these two associations took the decision of expanding their fields of cooperation by launching the Archifoto– international awards of architectural photography contest. Archifoto aims to become a reference award by rewarding the photographers whose vision help us understand architecture, the urban landscape and the world…
The creative and documentary selection of Archifoto could become an original corpus about the complexity and the scale of architecture nowadays, seen through the eyes of those who live within.

Die Vereine das Europäisches Architekturhaus – Oberrhein und La Chambre arbeiten zusammen um die Architekturfotografie aufzuwerten. Bei jeder zweiten Ausgabe des Festivals Die Architekturtage verknüpfen sich die zwei Vereine, um ihrem Publikum etwas Neuartiges anbieten zu können: die Entdeckung der Architektur durch Bilder, die in einer einzigartigen Ausstellungen die Arbeit von Fotografenen aus Europa vorstellen.
Im Jahre 2010, trafen die zwei Vereine die Entscheidung ihre Zusammenarbeit zu erweitern und gründeten Archifoto – international awards of architectural photography. Der Wettbewerb Archifoto verfolgt das Ziel sich als Referenzpreis zu etablieren und Fotografen auszuzeichnen, deren Arbeit den Blick auf Architektur, urbane Landschaft und die Welt schärft.
Die kreative und dokumentarische Auswahl von Archifoto soll zu einem einzigartigen Korpus werden, der die Vielsichtigkeit und die Bedeutung der Architektur aus dem Blickwinkel der Bewohner und Nutzer wiederspiegelt.
